Movement Strategy for Bath adopted by Cabinet
Bath & North East Somerset Council has adopted The Movement Strategy for Bath, a long-term plan to improve how people move around the city while protecting Bath’s historical character and supporting future growth.
The strategy aims to provide more travel choices, reduce private vehicular traffic and create great quality places by improving public transport, walking, wheeling and cycling while ensuring the transport network continues to work for everyone.
The final strategy has been shaped by public engagement, which attracted more than 840 responses and showed strong support for improving sustainable travel options, easing congestion and enhancing air quality.
The Movement Strategy for Bath will now guide future transport investment and decision-making across the city, helping to deliver a healthier, greener and better-connected city for residents, businesses and visitors.
